21-year-old Karen Kshiti Suvarna is currently directing a Bollywood film titled September 21. The ceremony of the film, which narrates the story of an Alzheimer’s patient and a nurse who takes care of him, was held recently at the Panchamukhi Ganapathy Temple in Mahalakshmi Layout. Journalist, actor and director Indrajit Lankesh launched the first look poster of the film. The cast and crew of the film were present at the event. Then the members of the group spoke.
I had earlier directed a short film called ‘Hide and Seek’. The film was also recognised globally. Now I am directing the film “September 21.” The story was written by P. Rajasekaran. The story revolves around Alzheimer’s disease. Priyanka Upendra, Praveen Kumar Singh Sisodia, Zarina Wahab and others are in the cast. Director Karen Kshitij Suvarna said that the shooting of the film will begin soon in Bengaluru.
I’m very glad. This is the first time I am working with a younger director. I play the role of a career who nurses a patient suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Kamala is the name of my character. My father is from Uttar Pradesh. I can read and speak Hindi. Actress Priyanka Upendra thanked Indrajith for launching the film.
Story of the film is nice. Actor Praveen Singh Sisodia said that he is playing the role of a 60-year-old patient who is suffering from depression and has lost his memory.
Cinematographer Anil Kumar and music director K. S. Ravikumar were also present on the occasion.
The film “September 21” is being jointly produced by the Belgium-based production house. The film is being produced by Amit Awasthi, Vice President, Marketing at Reliance Entertainment and Fredrick De Vos of Fox On Stage.
