L2: The first Malayalam film to ever do well in pre-sales in the days following a major release is Empuraan. For the third consecutive day of advance booking, the film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran has achieved a hat-trick with collections of over 10 crore. After the first day of release, no movie has ever made more than 4-5 crore.
L2: Empuraan has recorded pre booking sales of 10.68 crores gross (excluding blocked seats) on day three, according to the most recent box office data as of 12 AM. Over 55,000 tickets have already been sold nationwide. The top-performing states are still Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.
