Their strange alliance is highlighted in the trailer as they set out on a quest to save J.K. Simmons’s character, Santa Claus. Johnson portrays Callum Drift, the North Pole’s Head of Security. Drift turns to Evans’s character, infamous bounty hunter Jack O’Malley, who is on the naughty list, after Santa is abducted by unidentified crooks.
A number of plot points are revealed in the video, including the idea that toy stores can act as entryways to the North Pole. There are also humorous moments, as Evans’ character seems unaccustomed to the strange environment he finds himself in. Action scenes involving toys are also featured in the movie. It has Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em robots as bodyguards and enormous Hot Wheels.
